Hello, friends & family ~

Lila had a typical hospital overnight last night with bits and pieces of sleep, but was inquisitive and curious this morning.  We've already held biology 101 class. She understands the process that has caused the need for dialysis. We are lightly discussing the two types of dialysis, and she is anticipating the placement of her peritoneal catheter and central line tomorrow.

Her labs are as expected for a child in this process. Her belly is distending, nausea has set in, her skin is jaundiced, and a lot is changing. All of this is expected and normal as well as a result of the toxin that is circulating her system.

The docs are hovering and vigilant. We are praying for wisdom and strength all around.
